Madidi National Park located northwest of the department of La Paz, covers an area of 1,291,800 hectares over, one of the largest protected areas in Bolivia, has altitudinal ranging from 180 m to 5000msnm, the land relief is formed by mountainous areas, rugged reliefs, deep canyons. and it is characterized by the large number of basins, such as the Amazon basin and the Beni River; and Tuichi, Madidi, Beni, Enapurera Heath and rivers.
Because of the wide variation in altitudinal ecoregions presents varieties. as peri environments glaciers, rain forests, cloud forests, dry forests, swampy groves, welcoming an enormous amount of flora and fauna. It is estimated that more than 3200 species of the animal kingdom between, fish, birds, reptiles, mammals and amphibians are welcome in this area, in addition to 4000 plant species between upper and probable.
Within the reserve there are several indigenous communities that share a vision of tourism as a strategy for progress, conservation.
