Day 1: La Paz - Oruro - Uyuni

9:30 am will be the pick of the hotel in La Paz, we'll take you to the bus station where we’ll board the local bus in the direction to Oruro and after a 3½-hour trip we’ll arrive to this city. You'll have time for lunch on your own, at 3:30 pm we will take the train that will take us through a route with breathtaking landscapes of the Bolivian plateau.

Upon reaching the town of Uyuni around 10:30 pm, we’ll head to the hotel reserved to rest.

Day 2: Train Cemetery - Colchani - Fish Island

After breakfast, the meeting point will be in our office in Uyuni around 10:00 am. The fascinating excursion will begin with the visit at the train cemetery, where we’ll see several carriages and skeletons of abandoned trains scattered in the desert.

Then we’ll continue to the craft center "Colchani", afterwards we’ll visit Playa Blanca, one of the first hotels built of salt as well as it tables, chairs, etc. After this amazing tour we’ll head to the Fish Island where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch, and we’ll have a walk through the valley of huge cactus.

The journey continues to a nearby community where we’ll have dinner and stay at a basic hostel of salt in shared rooms.

 

Day 3: Circuit of lakes - Desert Siloli - Huayllajara

Early between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. we will go to the Lagoons circuit starting at Kañapa, Ramadita, Hedionda, in which we will see some flamingos and we’ll be able to take great pictures. We’ll continue to the desert Siloli, where we’ll see the Stone Tree, the most extraordinary rock formation.

We will continue to the National Reserve of Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa where we’ll visit the “Laguna Colorada” named for its red color due to algae and abundant minerals, this lagoon also attracts hundreds of flamingos. Then we’ll go to Huayllajara where we’ll spend the night in a basic lodge.

Day 4: Geisers - Green lake - Return to La Paz

We will get up early around 5am to visit the fumaroles; Craters with boiling mud emanating a strong smell of sulfur. This place is known as the Morning Sun.
Later we will visit the green lagoon, an emerald green lagoon located at the slopes of the Likankabur volcano, together they form a spectacular landscape.

Then we’ll  visit the Valley of Rocks in Villamar, which has several curious rock formations, where you can even climb to appreciate extensive views from above. Finally we will make our trip back to the city of Uyuni (5:00 pm aprox), we will have time for dinner and at 8:00 pm, take the local bus that will take us back to La Paz.
